We remember and acknowledge our colleagues who lost their lives in August 2012. In the presence of the widows of the deceased and organised labour, a memorial was unveiled at Sibanye-Stillwater’s Marikana offices.
Sibanye-Stillwater committed to building 16 houses for the widows and families who had not benefitted from the AMCU Trust. To date, eight houses have been handed over to the families while the remaining eight are under construction.
The Trust provides financial assistance covering school and tertiary tuition and registration fees as well as expenses relating to uniforms, stationery, textbooks, extramural activities.
